The Downtown Development Authority has provided the village with many wonderful renovations and additions. They have renovated the old elevator into a lovely rental hall. The old school house has two renovated rooms and acts as a museum for the village. They also updated the playground equipment in the park and added a skate park.

The Bi-annual informational meeting was held at 7pm on Feb 20, 2024
DDA BI-ANNUAL INFORMATIONAL MEETING
The secretary of the DDA shared an update about the events of the past six months. Mrs. Fenton stated that things have progressed slowly this past 6 months, as the rain kept everything so wet and projects were put on hold. She stated the DDA has maintained the elevator and school buildings, the Senior Complex Center (Gym) received new noise dampening wall mounts and ceiling mounts. The overall feedback has been very positive about the changes lessoning the echoing noise in the Gym. Upcoming plans for 2024 were discussed at the last meeting and include: replacement of the trees along downtown, in the flower boxes, drainage of the standing water in the park and possible padding on gym floor.
The DDA is working diligently to improve and draw more business to our village.
