These can be held in conjunction with council meetings. She then went on to explain the purpose of these meetings is to inform the public of what the DDA has accomplished in the past and plan to do in the coming six months. The DDA had a company come in and spray in new mulch to main play areas of the park. The old School building has also fallen under DDA care. The upstairs has been renovated and includes a school room as it used to be, many years ago. The band room is now completely renovated and includes instruments and music stands donated by the Kingston band. The rental hall in the old school has had the floor replaced. The carpet was ripped up to make way for new wood flooring, this flooring will be carried through the whole downstairs. The entrance way and the library will be completed this year. Flowers at the Veteran’s memorial were provided again this year. You will notice there were no flowers planted along Main street. The planter boxes will be getting re-done in August. The School building was broken into and the front door windows smashed. The new doors have been ordered, but are on back-order at this time, due to Covid.
