LAPEER COUNTY COMMUNITY FOUNDATION GRANT
The Lapeer County Community Foundation (LCCF) is celebrating its 25th anniversary by awarding grants to the county communities. The LCCF manages 70 funds to provide grants for a wide range of charitable purposes. Since 1996, over $5.3 million has been given to enhance the quality of life in Lapeer County. The Village of Clifford used the grant to purchase two flag poles and two information boards. The flags were installed at the Village building and the downtown veteran's memorial by the Village President Gary Ferguson. He was assisted by long time DPW employee E. Mike Armstrong. One of the information boards is installed at the village building and the other will be installed downtown. The grant gave the Village the opportunity to boost Village patriotism and keep residents informed of current events and council decisions. The Village council hopes to bolster community pride and resident involvement in the government of the village. Council would like to express its public appreciation to The Lapeer County Community Foundation for this wonderful grant.
